THAT ONE FEELSY ALBUM | About: TRACK 5 | "The Wilhelm Scream"

This piece is about my interpretation of anxiety. A couple months back, I felt like the weight of the world was against me. I was doing so much that my body couldn't handle it. Whether that be school, work, extra-curriculars, I put way too much on my plate and that caused my schedule to constantly overlap with itself. In Spring of 2017, I had my first anxiety attack. I didn’t know what it was or what was happening, but it kept happening for the next couple of months. It was terrifying and I felt helpless. I later learned that this was anxiety. I am no expert by any means on anxiety, but this did happen to me and I wanted to express myself through movement. As a Berkeley student, I tend to find myself piling more and more on my plate because Berkeley students are "high achievers". There's nothing wrong with taking a step back and analyzing one's health before moving forward.

This freestyle expresses what I felt when I had my attacks, and Vincent added another layer of artistry by filming at so many beautiful shot angles. This piece serves as a reminder to ALWAYS take care of myself both physically and mentally.
